That's his real name. He used to be Charlie Munderdrew, but he changed it. Action Dude lives for danger and excitement. He's always jumping out of helicopters, crashing ships, running along the tops of cranes and walking out of buildings just before they explode. He's nine years old and also the bravest action hero there ever was. Except that he's terrified of spiders. (But don't ever tell anyone that!) When a theme park full of robots goes haywire, it's up to Action Dude to come to the rescue. After all, no one else is crazy enough to just walk in there and save everyone.

    Nine-year-old Action Dude dreams of being an action hero and turns his everyday activities into hero-themed events. His mother asks him to visit the shops, and he only remembers to buy one item because he is lost in his imagination. His mother points out that Action Dude needs to focus. But when asked to clean a room with spiders, he gets scared and becomes distracted again. Action Dude gets a new mission from his hotline and travels to Prehistoric Land. The park is overrun by robots, and the police need help rescuing some park visitors from a volcano. Action Dude meets some robots and threatens to fight them using martial arts. The robot king challenges him to a fight, and they kick and punch each other until Action Dude finds the button to turn off the robot king. The robot king’s head falls off, and Action Dude is crowned the new leader. One of the robots is a young girl called Ruby in disguise. After being separated from her father in the park, she disguised herself as a robot for safety. Action Dude, Ruby, and Callum, a Prehistoric Land worker, make their way to fight the enemy of the robot people, Zondara, the robot sabre-tooth tiger. But even if they win this fight, will the enemy really be vanquished?
