Product Description

Easter Bilby is excited to join his friends for Banjo Frog's Concert Spectacular, but something is wrong! Banjo Frog, Glossy Black Cockatoo and Southern Brown Bandicoot are too hungry and tired to sing. Easter Bilby explains to the animals how it's the wild rabbits' fault they're hungry and tired, and comes up with a plan to save the concert with help from the local school children. Banjo Frog's Concert Spectacular is the first book in the Easter Bilby's Friends series. Set on South Australia's Fleurieu Peninsula, it explains to children how introduced wild rabbits affect the native plants and animals in the area, and what they can do to help. Banjo Frog's Concert Spectacular is published in association with the Foundation for Rabbit-Free Australia Inc.

When Easter Bilby arrives for Banjo Frog's Concert Spectacular, he finds only silence. Banjo Frog sadly informs Bilby that the concert is cancelled because he is too hungry to sing. Bilby blames it on the wild rabbits but Banjo laughs and says they don't eat insects. Bilby agrees, but says they eat the plants that the insects live on. Glossy Black Cockatoo arrives but he's too hungry to sing as well. The rabbits have eaten the sheoak seedlings so no new trees can grow and drop seeds. Southern Brown Bandicoot is also too tired to sing since the rabbits ate the bushes they sleep under. So what can they do to fix it?
