Kitty desperately wants to fly, but her father won't let her. Set in 1910 when bi-planes were prominent, all she can dream about is flying. Her father tells her to read more books like her brother Harris. When Harris and Kitty find a large dragon egg, they raise the dragon and enter the Manchester Air Race. Although this is initially to their father's disapproval, he is proud of them by the end. An engaging story about family and fantasy for reluctant readers.
