Novel Insight has launched a prize, to publicly acknowledge the quality of books reviewed by our service.
The Reviewer's Choice Award will highlight books by Australian authors, reviewed within the first 12 months of release date.
For this inaugural award, the publication date must be between 1st September 2024 and 31st August 2025. Find the first shortlist here!
For the 2026 award: books need to be reviewed between the 1st September 2025 and 31st August 2026. Get your books in for review to enter now.
Important information
Books given a 4 or higher (out of 5) on the Novel Insight ‘Good Read’ scale, are eligible for nomination.
Nominated books will be judged by considering the overall reading experience and the broadest appeal to the age group of the category.
Recommended authors/illustrators will receive a complimentary subscription to Novel Insight and a digital award seal they can use for promotional purposes. The ultimate winners in each of the three categories will also receive a $200 cash prize. Total prize value approximately $2000. Please note if a winner has co-creators the cash prize will be shared. Reviewer's choice books will also be featured on oour socials and website after announcement. Novel Insight will also promote the books that receive commendation in this award to our school members.
Nominations
Any book eligible reviewed with the minimum rating, in the timeframe is eligible. Nomination is optional. Authors or publishers can nominate their titles but must be nominated.

Send three (3) copies of the book to the following address by the 15th of September 2026 for the 2026 award.
A digital pdf or epub needs to also be submitted. This can be watermarked.
