Villain: Respawn continues the battle between Jay, Leni, Riley and Hudson of the Genius Project and the villainous AI known as ‘Z’. The team believe that if they can find Z’s lair, they can permanently delete him by destroying any electronic copies of him in the base. So Jay, his dad Maynard and Hudson go to Z’s island lair to destroy him, but unbeknownst to them, Z still exists outside the lair and is plotting to take over the world. A thoroughly enjoyable book with a great ending. The back half of the book is a fast-paced adventure, with nonstop action as the Genius Project races to stop Z. It’s ideal for junior high readers.
