Mary Anning was born into a poor family. As a carpenter, her father made very little money, so he often went to a rocky formation in Lyme Regis, England, to find fossils to sell. Mary went with him, and he taught her about the fossils. After he died, Mary continued finding fossils and selling them with the help of her brother. One day, they find an enormous fossil in a rock formation, and men from Oxford arrive, asking to display it in London. Years later, Mary finds another massive fossil and acquires an agent to sell her fossils in London. This illustrated story continues to follow Mary Anning's achievements and discoveries.
