Freddie Jones is an observant and intelligent autistic boy with an assistance dog named Hobnob. It’s Freddie’s first holiday. He’s taking a plane trip with his parents and his Grandma Lily to a resort in Cairns, where his parents have been called to investigate a problem. This story takes the reader to various places around Cairns and gives insight into the thoughts and feelings someone with autism might have in new places. An easy-to-read and well-paced mystery filled with clues and with a slightly fantastical twist. It’s ideal for junior fiction readers.
