It's the last day of summer and 12-year-old Tuva is writing her goals for the new school year in her diary. Her goals include doing activities with her friends, Bao and Linnea, getting a cool new look, and falling in love. Linnea announces to them that she and Martin are going out. Although Tuva is curious, Bao is disinterested. Tuva bonds with a new girl, Mariam, over music and starts drifting away from Bao and Linnea. Tuva wonders if she's in love with Mariam and confesses to Bao, who is exasperated that all her friends are falling in love. To keep the peace, Tuva starts telling Bao white lies. A heartwarming coming-of-age story about friendship, growing up and falling in love for readers of Heartstopper.
