Ben and Carla have been friends since they were five years old. At sixteen, Carla asks Ben out, and he is very excited as he has loved her since he was five. They are at the beach, but Ben can't swim. Carla begs Ben to join him in the water, and eventually, he concedes. He is comforted by her hand in his, but after a while, she lets go. Ben flails in the water and worries he's going to drown until Carla finally pulls him to shore. He confronts her about how he could've died, but Carla argues that he'd done the same thing to her when they were younger. Will their relationship be able to survive after all?
