Leo is different from other kids. He struggles to fit in and constantly draws, thinks about space, or has his head in the clouds. His mum worries that Leo has no friends, but one day that changes unexpectedly. Ralph, a friendly furry alien from the planet Ralphora, comes to befriend Leo. They invent fun games and watch the stars together every night. However, Ralph is imaginary. It seems Leo has disappeared further into his own world. Leo and Ralph remain best friends from prep up until year four. When Leo gets into bad situations with his imaginary friend, his parents intervene. They tell Leo it's time to say goodbye to Ralph, especially now their family is moving from the city to the small town of Dundle for his mum's work. It's the perfect time to try making new friends again. Leo obediently says goodbye to Ralph. However, his parents don't know their secret. If Leo still hasn't made a friend by the end of the first week of school, Ralph will return. After all, he promised to stay until Leo didn't need him. Will Leo find a new friend?
