Unable to solve his own issues, Vinny starts replying to unanswered posts on an old blog of his mum’s. At first the solutions seem easy, and he can be as hilariously honest as any 12-year-old boy would be, but what will happen when Vinny realises he’s out of his depth? Vinny is struggling. Dad is coming home late from work and Mum is completely focused on her blog, where she gives advice to strangers. He just wants to play D&D with his friends, but they all want to hang out with the girls. They don’t think D&D is cool, and they only play at home after another boy filmed and made fun of their game. Vinny decides to reply to some of his Mum’s old blog comments that haven’t been responded to, and advice from a 12-year-old nobody is born. But as he starts to answer, people take what he is saying seriously and Vinny realises he might be in deeper than he thinks. A lightly illustrated reluctant reader suitable for upper primary school, which explores empathy and mental health.
