When Cassie reluctantly agrees to attend a New Year’s party with her friend Kiah, things go sideways after a minor car accident on the way leaves her stranded. Uninterested in drinking and games, Cassie eventually falls asleep, only to wake up and find that one of the attendees has been murdered, and nobody seems too interested in calling the police. But Cassie can’t bring herself to go along with the story the others are making up. A fast-paced murder mystery novella. It’s ideal for junior high readers and reluctant teen readers.
